New Job Role – Refugee, Asylum & Evacuee Manager (Manchester City Council)
A new senior management role has been created within Manchester City Council to manage the refugee, evacuee and asylum delivery offer in the city.
We administer and coordinate a number of refugee resettlement and relocation schemes in North West England, on behalf of the Home Office and the United Nations, ensuring that the refugees are housed in good quality accommodation, and are given the support they need to build new lives in this country.
The Resettlement Schemes we currently deliver are:
UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS)
Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP)
Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS)
Vulnerable Persons and Vulnerable Children Resettlement Scheme (VPRS/VCRS)
Afghan Ex-Gratia Scheme
In addition we work alongside colleagues at RESET Communities and Refugees to support the successful delivery of Community Sponsorship in our region.
