A Taste Of Home was dreamed up and created by over 100 Syrian refugees who have found sanctuary in Lancashire.
The North West currently delivers four of the UK Government’s resettlement programmes:
– Gateway Protection Programme
– Afghan Locally Employed Staff Ex-Gratia Scheme
– Vulnerable Person’s Resettlement Scheme
– Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme
The objective of resettlement is to seek to accommodate and support the most vulnerable refugees, as defined and agreed by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNCHR), for whom resettlement to a third country is the most durable solution.
