The North West Strategic Migration Partnership (RSMP), funded by the Home Office, is proud to launch the Asylum Seeking Mental Health Small Grants Programme — a new initiative designed to support the mental health and wellbeing of people seeking asylum across the North West.
This programme responds to local needs and gaps in care, using evidence-based approaches to promote healing, wellbeing, and inclusion within asylum-seeking communities.
What’s Available?
Organisations can apply for grants of up to £750 from a total fund of £7,500 to deliver activities that support Home Office outcomes:
- Improved mental health and wellbeing
- Greater social inclusion and community integration
- Increased access to mainstream mental health services
- Better understanding of support pathways
- Enhanced feelings of safety and resilience
- Reduced impact of trauma and loneliness
What Kind of Activities Can Be Funded?
We welcome applications for a wide range of wellbeing-focused activities, such as:
- Peer support groups
- Cycling initiatives
- Allotment and gardening projects
- Art and creative programmes
- Support accessing local support and services
- Community kitchens and shared meals
- One-off wellbeing events (with a focus on building confidence, knowledge of local services, or self-care skills)
You can also apply to:
- Extend or sustain existing projects
- Support projects nearing completion
- Part-fund planned activities
