Resettlement Scheme Funding Instructions
In order to make claims under the Funding Instructions for all resettlement schemes you will need to be set up with the Home Office. Information on this can be found in the Data Reconciliation and Payments section of the funding instruction.

ACRS
There are several funding streams available to Councils delivering the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme.
The main Funding Instruction for Afghan Schemes can be found on Gov.UK.
In addition, the Flexible Housing Fund and Homeless Funding has been made available. Please contact the SMP Resettlement Lead for more information.
For Local Authorities providing Hotel and Temporary Accommodation wrap around support (www.gov.uk) the funding instruction can be found on GOV.UK.
For Health partners in ICBs there is a separate document outlining funding healthcare in England in support of the Afghan Schemes (www.gov.uk) that can be found on GOV.UK.
ARAP
There are several funding streams available to Councils delivering the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy.

Community Sponsorship
For arrivals through the Community Sponsorship programme the Council will be eligible to claim education costs for children in line with the UKRS and ACRS pathway. ESOL will be the responsibility of the group unless other arrangements are in place with the Council.
If the Community Sponsorship placement breaks down and there is a need for the Council to pick up integration then proportionate funding will be made available. Information on this can be found under the main funding instruction.
VPRS/VCRS/Gateway Protection Programme
The VPRs, VCRS and Gateway Protection Programme are now all closed and have been succeeded by the UKRS. For Year 2,3,4 or 5 claims on this programme you should follow the UKRS funding instruction.

Mandate
Funding is not available for arrivals under the mandate scheme.
Spouse Visa’s and Family Reunion
Funding is not available for those arriving on a spouse visa or though the family reunion process.
