Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF)
The Local Authority Housing Fund was announced in December 2022 and is administered by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

Policy Guidance
The Home Office Indicators of Integration Framework has been developed to support Councils with practical ways to design more effective strategies, monitor services and evaluate integration interventions.
Transferring Information
In order to ensure the safe transfer of data the Home Office use a secure data transfer service. This data transfer service is also used to make claims through the Funding Instruction for resettlement. Health
Help for Heroes provides physical and mental health support for Afghans who served alongside British Forces in Afghanistan. More information about support available and how to refer can be found on the Help for Heroes website
OP Courage is an NHS programme designed to support the mental health of veterans, including those who worked alongside the British Armed Forces in Afghanistan. OpCOURAGE: The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service : Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust
Employment
There are several organisations providing specialist support into employment for those arriving on Resettlement Schemes. In addition the North West RSMP has a specialist employment officer who may be able to support you as a council in delivering your service.

Education
UCAS offers information on scholarships for Refugees UK University Scholarships for Refugees and Asylum Seekers | Undergraduate | UCAS
The Student Action for Refugees Network offer information and support to refugees wishing to access higher education Student Action for Refugees (star-network.org.uk)
International Organization for Migration (IOM)
The IOM play and important role in the UK Resettlement Schemes. On their website you can register for the Refugee and Migrant Integration Hub where you will find important information for pre/post departure and you are able to download the Welcome Handbook. A physical copy of this is no longer provided to families.
