ESOL is delivered term time only, year round, with attendance required for 3 to 6 hours each week.
Our courses are designed for residents who want to develop their speaking and listening skills and improve their reading and writing skills for everyday life, work and continuing education.
If English isn’t your main language, our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses can help you improve all aspects of your language skills. Our ESOL courses offered start at pre-entry up to level 2 and we also offer a community interpreting course. Our experienced staff will support you to improve your English and gain a nationally recognised qualification. Students also learn how to access travel, housing, healthcare and the job market alongside tours of our city region. All classes are held on-campus at Conway Park and are face to face. The ESOL department organises a varied social programme which you can take part in. It includes visits to the theatre, museums and visits to interesting places locally.

We offer part-time adult ESOL courses at all levels from Entry 1 to Level 2, in the daytime at Stockport College (part of Trafford College Group). We also have full-time courses for 16-19 year olds.
We offer part-time adult ESOL courses at all levels from Pre-Entry to Level 2 in the daytime at our Stretford campus. We also have full-time courses for 16-19 year olds at our Altrincham campus.
We are a small Community Centre based in a church hall. We offer adult learning; exercise and other activities for adults and children; and community events. Our Community Hub provides emergency food and fuel top-ups, refers to local food banks, etc. and signposts to other sources of support, as well as hosting Citizens Advice. We are proud of our reputation as a place where everyone in our community is welcomed
Our ESOL classes are for pre-entry to entry 3 level. There is a waiting list to join an ESOL course at the moment do please email to be added to the list if you wish.

- Monday ESOL Conversation – 13 – 14.30pm, term time only.
- ESOL and Employability – Tuesdays 10-12am.
- ESOL and Wellbeing – Fridays 10-12am.
- Discover Manchester ESOL Conversation – Fridays 10-11.30 term time only.
We offer our ESOL Course at entry 1 – level 1 and we also have a Health and Social Care Course available. Also, we provide welfare benefits advice and basic IT Support for people with little to no experience with computers. We also have a work club where we support people create/update their CV’s, help people apply for jobs and prepare for interviews.

Entry 2: 12:00PM to 2:30PM from Monday – Thursday
Entry 3: 9:15AM to 11:45AM from Tuesday – Friday
Level 1: 12:15PM to 2:45PM from Tuesday – Friday
We offer a wide range of accredited courses, covering pre-entry to level 2 for ESOL.
Our classes are 9.15-12.30pm, 1.15-4.30pm and 6.00-9.00pm, with some Saturday provision. Not all levels are available every day.
Classes are offered once an assessment is undertaken.
