Search services and support for migrants

These courses involve teaching basic English to people whose first language is not English, and want to improve communication skills in English. We currently provide courses for ESOL levels: Pre-Entry Entry 1 (E1) Entry 2 (E2) Entry 3 (E3) We also provide advice and guidance to allow users to progress further to Level 1 and above, aswell as further education and work options. These courses will suit people of all levels, and allow them to progress to improve their English. ESOL Assessments Every Monday 12pm (Term-Time) You may be able to join classes after start date please check with admin office Additional short course available during the year
British Red Cross Refugee Support, Lancashire, helps people seeking asylum, refugees and other migrants on various issues including adjusting to life in a new country through casework support. The session offers the opportunity for people to meet new people and chat over hot drinks and snacks. People can be helped with the following:
  • Healthcare access and advice
  • English lessons information
  • Advice on community integration activities
  • Information and advice on the asylum process
  • Information on legal support
  • Move-on support
  • Family reunion
  • Family tracing
International Family Tracing can help with finding missing relatives abroad through their international family tracing service if you have been separated by war, natural disaster or migration. Please call the office for further information.
