WEA is a charity that offers courses for adults in local communities and online. Learn new skills, improve your English, explore arts and crafts and more. WEA courses are held all over the UK in lots of locations and they offer a wide range of free short (e.g 1-4 month) ESOL courses – please go onto their website to check current course information and to enrol.
Enjoy learning the English language at our popular ESOL department. We will help you improve your English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, in classes with students from all over the world. Become more confident and use your language skills to integrate into life in the UK. Our classes are fun, interesting and our experienced teachers will help and support you as you learn, meet new people and gain skills which will help you in your work place.

Stockport City of Sanctuary provides support and advocacy for refugees and sanctuary seekers, fostering inclusion, dignity, and community connection. We offer practical assistance, educational workshops, and collaborative events to build understanding and create a welcoming environment for all.
We offer accredited (Pearson) ESOL Speaking & Listening Courses at pre-entry, entry 1,2 and 3 and level 1 and 2, dependant on the outcome of your language assessment, which you will need to before you can enrol.

If you live in Manchester or Greater Manchester and want to learn English, Manchester ESOL Advice Service can help you find the right learning opportunity. They can also signpost you to other support if you’re new to the UK.
To find out which course is right for you, go to the GM ESOL Advice Service website and fill in a short enquiry form for the borough of Greater Manchester where you live. You will then be contacted about an ESOL assessment in your local area.
EQUAL EDUCATION CHANCES is a charity organisation founded in 2017. We support families raising a disabled child. We promote youth social action. Offer empowerment opportunities to adults and advocate for migrants who are seeking school places, jobs or disability support. We also have conversational ESOL classes, please email for more information.
Caritas is responding by providing a safe space with advice, support and friendship at the Well Project.
ESOL classes at St. Aidens Centre are on Tuesdays 11am – 13pm and there is a women’s ESOL and craft group every Thursday at 10:30am – 12:30pm. Children are welcome at the women’s group.
