Caritas Salford

Refugee education, housing, funding and support for refugees. Support for those living in Salford experiencing poverty and discrimination. ESOL classes run by qualified tutors with experience:
  • Pre-entry to Level 2 – term time with opt in TRINITY exams available.
  • 4 – 6hrs a week.
  • 2/3 groups.

Reache Northwest

Occupational English Test (OET) preparation Through formal weekly courses and intensive sessions, with supporting materials. New students will be given an English language assessment before being allocated to an English class. English practice in a medical context The PLAN (Patients – Listening to, Advising and Negotiating with them) meetings provide the opportunity for English practice with UK medical students taking the role of patients.

Salford City College

Salford City College offers ESOL courses at six qualification levels from Pre-Entry to Level 2, where learners are given the opportunity to develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing ESOL courses are held at these venues:
  • Future Skills at Media City UK, Dakota Avenue, M50 2PU
  • City Skills, Lissadel Street, M6 6AP
The courses allow students to develop skills that are essential in the world of work, such as teamwork and being able to communicate with confidence. Students will have the opportunity to achieve nationally accredited qualifications and to meet new people, make friends and participate in a variety of trips, visits, college events and celebrations. They can also signpost you to other support if you’re new to the UK. You will then be contacted about an ESOL assessment in your local area.
