This newly refurbished centre has over 20 classrooms, a teaching kitchen and two IT suites, it offers a range of courses including English, maths, English for Speakers of Other Languages, digital skills, languages, cookery and crafts. GTDT is the Community Anchor Organisation for Toxteth. We work within our local communities to develop and empower people so that they can take a more active role in society and improve their quality of life. We offer free ESOL classes at low level to help people whose first language isn’t English in a small, friendly group, practising with real life situations. At Chester library we offer access to a wide range of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers and eResources free of charge. We also have activity groups and clubs including English Club on Wednesdays in a relaxed, social group which aims to build confidence in speaking English as well as improving listening skills, through everyday conversations. Ideal for speakers of other languages. Please just drop in, no need to book.
