VCFSE Organisations Funded to Support Hong Kong BN(O) Visa Holders, Ukraine Scheme Visa Holders, and Eligible Afghan Households across the North West
The North West RSMP is thrilled to announce 25 VCFSE organisations who have been funded to support Hong Kong BN(O) Visa Holders, Ukraine Scheme Visa Holders, and Eligible Afghan Households right across North West England with integration, English Language and more.

· Bi-weekly workshops covering neurodiversity awareness in cultural contexts introduction to local services, and practical skills like navigating public transport or accessing benefits. · Peer-led groups for families to share experiences, preserve cultural traditions, and build confidence in UK integration. · Community gathering and integration events bringing together local families to celebrate heritage through adapted activities like sensory-friendly music/dance, fostering friendships and reducing isolation. |

· 6 seminars on general topics impacting service users. · Support from an immigration advisor (where capacity allows) for one-to-one support. Informal English language support to Hongkongers, Ukrainians and Afghans in across Cheshire West, including: · Weekly English for everyday life sessions, including functional English, vocabulary and role play for Entry 1 and Entry 2 learners in Chester. · Weekly higher level English language classes including conversations on a range of topics, relevant to the learners’ lives and goals with bespoke individual feedback. Taking place in Chester, Winsford & Northwich and aimed at Entry 3 – Level 2 learners. |

· Formal English conversations: Building vocabulary, grammar, and confidence in speaking and listening. · Conversation cafés: Informal group discussions where participants practice everyday English in a relaxed environment. · Cooking classes: Embedding food-related vocabulary, instructions, and cultural exchange through preparing meals together. · Driving theory support: Helping participants understand technical vocabulary and pass the theory test, a key step to employment and independence. · Gardening and outdoor activities: Practical tasks to build teamwork and introduce relevant vocabulary. · History and culture workshops: Learning about British traditions, civic responsibilities, and shared values. · Exercise, arts, and crafts sessions: Offering creative ways to practice English while promoting wellbeing and social connections. |
