Employment

BN(O) visa holders are entitled to work in the UK. However, the type of employment support you can access may vary depending on your access to Public Funds. For more information on employment in the UK, and what support may be available, please see our Employment Hub.

Some employment support (for example through the Job Centre) requires you to be in receipt of certain benefits before you can use it, and if you have no recourse to public funds (NRPF) on your visa you will not be able to access these. However, there is other employment support you can access.

Some organisations have been specifically funded to deliver support to BN(O) visa holders and they may be providing employment support. Please refer to our Support for BN(O) visa holders page for more information.

Please be sure to check the eligibility for any employment support programmes you wish to access. You can do this by asking the Provider if you must have access to public funds to be join, or you can get in touch with the Welcome Hub and we will help.
