We offer English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) lessons, wellbeing sessions, information and communications technology workshops, and women and youth sessions.
Kairos Housing provides accommodation and support for people who have become destitute and homeless in Blackburn with Darwen after receiving a decision (positive or negative) on their asylum claim. Individuals referred must have a local connection to Blackburn with Darwen. Referrals are via Asylum and Refugee Community in Blackburn and Darwen Asylum and Refugee Enterprise (DARE) in Darwen only.
We are a local inner city church with a large migrant, asylum seeker and refugee community. We have developed a lot of experience in helping those communities in practical, community and spiritual ways. We also have close links to Kairos Housing and meet in the same building as the ARC Project Blackburn although these are separate charities.

Apart from providing health and social care to the Chinese community, we have children’s projects, youth projects, women and parenting projects, adult Learning, mental health projects and elderly projects. Daycare services for older people are also available. Luncheon club, meals-on-wheels. Language support, welfare advice, legal advice and cultural awareness talks. Breaks and activities for all carers including young carers, elderly and those with mental health issues living in Manchester. Activities include luncheon club, Mandarin classes, pamper sessions, carers corner, outdoor activities, singing class, home visits, hospital visits and interpreting service.

They run a community programme that offers arts activities to improve wellbeing and mental health, alongside practical support with a fresh food pantry, advice and support when needed and a warm place to have a cuppa and a chat. They can also offer English language classes.
