Living between Languages

Do you feel more ‘at home’ in one language than another?

If you have arrived in Lancashire recently and would like to explore themes of home, travel and memory this workshop is for you.

The day will start with viewing an art exhibition, ‘the nature of difference’ at The Storey, Lancaster.

This will be followed by discussion on home and home languages and a final session where you will be invited to write short pieces about your experiences.

You are free to write in small groups or individually or just listen to the discussion.

Facilitators will be present to help you develop your ideas and write in English.

This workshop is for participants with multiple languages or for whom English is not their first language.

Lunch will be provided and reasonable travel expenses covered (eg a bus or train ticket from a surrounding town such as Blackpool or Preston).
