Event Information
This session will cover the experiences and background of unaccompanied children (UASC). The session content will focus on how unaccompanied children fit within the global context of migration, how children become unaccompanied, routes and journeys of unaccompanied children, situations in Europe, and mental health and wellbeing of unaccompanied children. This session will be participatory and rely heavily on participant engagement through case studies and discussion.
Audience: All practitioners and services working with unaccompanied children including social workers, leaving care and asylum leads, education, health, commissioning, placement providers including supported accommodation, residential, foster carers and supported lodgings householders.
