Young Minds Resilience cards
The Young Minds Resilience Cards are a resource to promote resilient practice with children and young people. These help young people identify the resilience they already have in their lives and why building resilience is important for coping with challenges and difficulties. These cards help young people to identify the resilience they already have in their lives, and recognise why building resilience is vital to cope with difficulties.
Resilience framework
The RESILIENT THERAPY SUMMARY BOX (boingboing.org.uk) can be used by professionals with the young people under their care. The table looks at five main areas – basics, belonging, learning, coping, and core self:
- Basics – the basic necessities the young person should have.
- Belonging – explores how the young person can form good relations with families, neighbours, and friends.
- Learning – involves school education but also hobbies, life skills, and talents, and how to support in developing in their education.
- Coping – how to support the young person in managing and progressing though everyday life.
- Core self – helping to develop and shape the young person’s character and conduct.
