Barrow Adult Learning

We offer classes for adults aged 19+ who do not have English as their first language. We run courses from Beginners to Level 2. These classes are exam classes, and you will be entered for exams when your tutor feels you are ready.  These classes can help you with finding a job, being part of our community and teach you employability skills. We also run tailored learning courses that do not have an exam. The tailored learning courses can prepare you for starting an exam course or if you are looking to improve your English for daily life, then these are the courses for you. Barrow-in-Furness Library

We host an English Cafe every Weds 10am – 2pm for people that are new to the UK. Its a friendly environment to speak and learn English, play games, have a coffee and explore our resources. Just turn up, no need to register or book!
