Search services and support for migrants

The English Language Centre offers 3 hours a week of free unaccredited language support for refugees and asylum seekers. Who can attend? Refugees or asylum seekers over 18 years old who:
  • have an intermediate level English skills (CEFR level B1/entry 2 and above)
  • can attend both classes each week
  • live in the Liverpool City region
These classes will help you:
  • Build confidence in general English communication.
  • Improve your grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Class times:
  • Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:20pm – 3:50pm in term time.
  • Classes run in four 10-week blocks over the academic year.
  • Classes run on a continuous enrolment basis (there is no start or end date).
Not suitable for beginners or people with only an elementary level of English.
