Its purpose offer a range of professional and culturally sensitive services to improve the overall health and wellbeing for all people from Ethnic Minority backgrounds. A key focus is to support more vulnerable people from Ethnic Minority backgrounds. by providing language support, advocacy, social support and activities, assistance to access primary care services and including advice and education services.
These courses are run at Haslingden Library , twice a week with a qualified tutor. They are held in the town centre so on all local transport links. The courses are offered as unaccredited and anyone can join even if they attend provision elsewhere.

This is a beginners ESOL for Life and Work course which is available to anyone who is currently studying ESOL with other providers as a top up or those who want are not currently attending any other provision.
The course is from pre-entry to entry 1 with workshop style activities for those who are more like an entry 2 level. Once there is enough people attending the group will be split and the more advanced learners will get their own classes.
The tutor is fully qualified and differentiates the lessons to provide learning for all attendees.
The courses timetable is;
Tuesday and Friday 10am – 1.30pm
If you would like to join please attend the classroom on the 2nd floor of the library and speak to the tutor who will enrol you.
The course starts on Tuesday 31st October 2023.
This is a new course which is being run at the Lancashire County Council site Pendle Youth Zone in Nelson. This site is on the main bus routes through Nelson. All tutors are fully qualified.
The current courses are pre-entry courses running in the morning and the afternoon depending on the learner’s availability.
The current timetable is;
Pre-entry ESOL Thursday & Friday 9.30am – 12pm
Pre-entry ESOL Thursday & Friday 12.30pm – 3pm
The pre-entry classes will run until Christmas and in January those who are ready can start their ESOL Skills for Life entry 1 qualifications.
These courses are at a community centre in Burnley with good local transport links. All tutors are fully qualified. The courses are offered as unaccredited and accredited. Courses range from pre-entry to entry 2.

The centre also offers Life in the UK and Driving Theory Test Preparation courses.
These courses are run at a friendly centre in Burnley with good local transport links. All tutors are fully qualified. The courses are offered as unaccredited and accredited. Courses range from pre-entry to entry 2. Provision for entry 3 upwards will be provided from January 2024 if demand is there. These will be accredited courses offering qualifications in ESOL and functional skills.
