Migrant Help

Support Services for Hong Kong BN(O)s

As one of the partners to deliver the Hong Kong Welcome Programme, Migrant Help aims to support the
integration of up to 100 BN(O) status holders and their dependants across the UK by offering them tailored
infrastructure support to ensure they feel welcomed and appropriately supported to fully contribute to life in
the UK economically and socially. This support will enable them to feel more settled in their new communities.

We aim to support through referrals and signposting to the most appropriate infrastructure support for their
needs and providing casework support where necessary.

Our support offering is focused on employability.

  • Employment / recruitment
  • Training skills
  • Qualification conversion
  • Job searching / CV writing
  • Self-employment
  • Business training

We have a dedicated team of 3 x advisors who can offer support across the country.

They will focus on signposting and referrals to relevant services, for example:

  • for status holders who are qualified and fluent in English, we will focus support on signposting and referrals to relevant services such as recruitment, self-employment support and business training;
  • for status holders with transferable skills who are competent in English, we will focus support on skills conversion, assessing qualifications, retraining, and signposting to relevant services such as job seeking support;
  • for status holders who have low transferable skills and minimal or no English, we will focus support on providing more intensive casework to help with their transition and resettlement, such as retraining, CV and job seeking support;
  • Where needed, we will use the high-quality translation services of our social enterprise, Clear Voice, to ensure that these clients are supported in their own language and fully understand the support and services available to them;
  • access their community networks, initiatives, activities and services to support their social integration.
