General advice

It is not possible to list every single health service in a local area – we have give you some examples, below, on national free services that you can access, as well as some free services within your council area. You need to undertake your own checks, or discuss with your GP, to decide which services meet your needs.

Regional services

Cheshire and Wirral NHS Partnership Mental Health Crisis Line provides a freephone number for all urgent mental health support, for all ages including children.

My Mind Cheshire and Wirral is a NHS Trust mental health resource, which supports young people, parents and professionals working with children and young people.

Cheshire East

Live Well Cheshire East is an online search tool which can help you locate local health and wellbeing services.

Axess Sexual Health offers a wide range of confidential services, including STI testing, treatment, contraception including long-acting and emergency), pregnancy testing, PrEP, and specialist young people’s services.

Cheshire East Maternity Services provides information to expectant parents and a referral form to access midwife services.

Cheshire West and Chester

Live Well Cheshire West is an online search tool which can help you locate local health and wellbeing services. 

Chester West and Chester Sexual Health Service can help you locate services such as counselling, contraception and family planning.
