The RSMP are delighted to announce our involvement in a new programme of work focusing on allowing British Nationals (overseas) from Hong Kong to apply to live, study and work in the UK.

Following the recent introduction of the Hong Kong BN(O) visa, allowing BN(O) status holders to apply for a UK visa, The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government have announced the Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) Integration Programme. This scheme will see over £43 million invested to help support new applicants settle in the UK.

The RSMP, along with other migration partnerships across the country, will be setting up dedicated ‘Welcome Hubs’ in order to provide support and assistance for visa holders, as well as co-ordinating with local authorities and third-sector groups.

This is the first article in our new Hong Kong BN(O) website section. In the future, the RSMP will be sharing more information on all areas of the programme, along with relevant news and detail on upcoming welcome events.

We look forward to welcoming new visa holders in the future. If you have any questions regarding the programme, please contact us at rsmp@manchester.gov.uk.
