Hong Kong BN(O) Welcome Hub

From January 2021, Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) status holders can apply for a new immigration route, enabling them and their dependents to come to the UK to live, work and study, on a pathway to citizenship.

The Department for Levelling Up Housing and Communities (DLUHC) created 12 “Welcome Hubs” across the UK to support new arrivals, and the North West RSMP is one of these Hubs. These Hubs have been funded to ensure that newly arriving BN(O) status holders are able to access information to help their integration into the UK.

You must follow your local council’s application process when applying for schools in England. Please note that it is not guaranteed that you will be awarded a place at your first choice of school, so it is useful to research three different schools.

Public Transport

Public transport in Greater Manchester is regulated and co-ordinated by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), the public body responsible for delivering transport policy across the city-region. Their website allows you to plan your journey, see network updates, warns of any delays to services, and alerts you to any planned works that may affect how you travel across Greater Manchester.
